Chickpea Curry with Rice

Makes 4 x large portions



Chop the onion.

Take a frying pan and saute the sesame seeds in oil, and add the garam masala, curry powder, cayenne pepper, and chilli powder. After a couple of minutes add the onions.

While you are waiting for the onions to soften put the rice on to cook.

Once the onions are soft add the tins of chickpeas. Don't drain the chickpeas; add the water from the tin too. Cook on a medium-low heat.

If you're making some vegetables for the side, then this is probably a good time to prepare and cook them.
